The Fool card is the most spiritual card in the deck. The design implies that despite being in a precarious situation, the individual is in a state of trust that the Universe will take care of them.
Secondary meanings: Bravery; innocence; purity; guilelessness or opposite if reversed.

The Magician

The Magician has a wand, a cup, a sword and a pentacle before him, indicating a mastery over his condition. It is the strongest card in the deck for a man. Secondary meanings: A man who is resourceful, initiatory, a leader. The man is less than the above if the card is reversed

The High Priestess
Keywords: Effective female (upright) Ineffective female (reversed)

The High Priestess is the female equivalent to the Magician. She is in command of her life and knows how to get things done. The black and white collumns symbolise a balance between heart and mind.
Secondary meanings: Initiatory, fearless, responsible. Less than the above if reversed.

The Empress
Keywords: Comfortable female (upright) Uncomfortable female (reversed)

The Empress is more concerned with security and being comfortable with life. She is likely to be more materially inclined than the High Priestess and less likely to make waves in her efforts to achieve her goals. Secondary meanings:  Emotional, sensitive, compromising. Opposite if reversed.
